Topic: purchases, development emphasis
1. Purchases in the Trials Shop.
Like any source of goods, available for an in-game currency, Merlin’s trials have their own specialization. So far there are 4 efficient ways of purchasing that give the account qualitative growth:
You can get Intensity Crystals of level V only in the Trials Shop or in the Dragon Trials themselves. In the trials you can find them only for 2 skills, to boost them to level 5. The crystals of level IV are just as rare, with their presence (apart from the trials) in the Marketplace, where they are very few.
- Purchase 20 Intensity Crystals of levels IV and V
- It’s better to buy other Intensity Crystals of level III here as well
Purchasing Intensity Crystals will allow you to enhance your dragon’s skills and improve its performance in important skills. It will also free the Spirit store of extra input into Intensity Crystals of level III.
This is probably the best option to use this source of purchases. It is possible to equip some violet heroes quite fast to the necessary level of skill and experience in general.
- Boost Sir Balan buying Sealed Fragments;
- Buy maximum level experience for all important heroes.
This approach frees such source as Spirit store of extra inputs. There you can also buy fragments of violet heroes. In this case the strength of the Spirit store can be focused entirely on boosting the dragon’s experience.
This is more an additional fast source to buy the forging equipment you lack in cases of urgent need. You shouldn’t make big purchases here, you should only use it as a little bit of urgent help.
This type of purchase is only useful as a possibility of fast building of the stronghold of levels 26-27. In case there are enough resources to build non-stop, you can buy speed-ups to reach the needed 26+ level of University and move on to speed-ups of Research Trials.
As you enter trial paths 7 and higher, speed-ups start to be given from the current rewards in good quantity under Research and Building Trials. When these Trials start giving such number of speed-ups that exceeds the boost input limit, you can focus on other goods in the shop.
2. Development emphasis for completion
Merlin’s Trials in themselves show how well-developed your account is. In the Details section you can always see how far regarding a specific trial the account has progressed and so judge whether it is a good or a bad one.
Each trial entails its own challenge that directly results from the possibilities given to the player in developing the account at various stages of the game. Some of them are available for fast development at early stages, some can only be passed after long training or with the help of inputs, and some of them combine all types of challenges.
The higher the progress of the trial is, the higher current rewards for it and the weekly reward for the distance of path covered are. The main goal is to reach the maximum productivity of trials, to get as many coins as possible per week and make even more purchases.
Let’s look at each stage in the order of its developing possibilities and coins and rewards given for the trial paths completion.
Dragon Trials (T)
This is the main trial at early stages of the game. The best progress in the trial is possible up to level 40+ of the Dragon. After this level completion becomes significantly more difficult and stops being preferential. It brings about 5000-6000 coins a week. Dragon with level 50+ can complete a trial earning from 7000 coins a week.
First you should focus on boosting the Dragon. In this case you will make a fast start and open a good source of extra speed-up for developing your account.
Equipment Trials (M)
This trial requires a good plan of equipment boost. Decent sums of ancient coins start appearing only when golden things of daredevil equipment level are made. Ordinary things entail weak completion, and the sums received as weekly rewards are insignificant.
The orange set brings about 300 coins a week.
A half of the orange set and a half of the daredevil set bring about 2000 coins a week.
Consequently, before reaching the level of daredevil there is no point really in spending on materials to make things maximally in the form of the orange set.
Collect a minimum set of blue military things with 3 slots for gemstones.
Gemstone Trials (F)
Like the Equipment Trials it brings relatively small sums. It also slows down with the progress level of your stones set. The best option here is to collect a full set of Valor stones (16 stones) with the help of the Alliance exchange or buy parts of Valor gems in the Alliance Spirit store.
At the same time you should also buy parts of Soul stones in the Magical tower (10 parts a day). Collecting Soul stones will take you at least 180 days so you shouldn’t miss buying their parts.
Combo Trials (W)
This is a combined trial on gemstones and equipment. It brings a bit more than separate trials. With a full set of stones and a correct set of things you can achieve the result of 700-900 coins a week. If you have golden equipment and several Soul stones, this result can be increased 3-4 times.
Research Trials (Th)
Research starts having a serious influence only when you get access to the Combat II section in University. There’s no point in expecting any significant sums from this trial at early stages. However, with good research of the Combat II section you can get up to 13000 coins a week.
The trial is extremely important for the game and upgrade to high levels because it contains a lot of speed-ups (within 4000-5000 hours).
Boost University to level 26 and higher, then focus on researching the Combat II section. Then you won’t have the problem of long production of improvements and army.
Building Trials (S)
The boost influence on completion is similar to Research Trials. At early stages it brings little but with correct collection and distribution of prestige banners in the end you can get from 3000 coins and more. This trial also contains a lot of speed-ups, though somewhat fewer than Research Trials. Ultimately this trial results more expensive than Research Trials and with less profit.
Emphasize building boost after Research and successful completion of its Trials. Quite a lot of resources will be needed for construction, which will take them away from developing Research. It’s better to do it having speed-ups for fast growth.
Hero Trials (Sn)
It is a very long-developing trial with little potential as to the reward pool. It is progressing simultaneously with other trials’ progress, and due to the completion progress of other Merlin’s trials and Alliance exchange.
Merlin’s Trials are a good extra source of development, allowing to boost such areas as Dragon, Equipment, Building and Heroes. The main source of progress at early stages is the Dragon. As the account systematically completes trials, it progresses much faster, relieving other sources from inputs and maintaining the potential for efficient growth.
